Deposit by iPhone

USAA is offering their customers the ability to deposit checks by simply taking a picture of the check through their iPhone app.  Innovation such as this removes yet another step to paper transactions.  Gotta love it when faceless companies (mostly) empowers the customer.  With this cool feature, does that mean I can deposit the check and have the funds available immediately no matter the time of day?  Most likely not but that would be the next logical step.
