Look Ma, no hands! Pikes Peak or Bust

Pikes Peak Hill Climb is an annual tradition for rally junkies in Colorado Springs. I lived there for a good 20 years and I can honestly say I never went to one but always track the results on local sports update.  It is an insane race up a mountain with hairpin switch-backs on loose gravel roads.  It is a real challenge for drivers, can you imagine what it must be like for a car that does not have one?

Stanford’s Robotics team will do just that.  They will enter their Audi TTS in next year’s race.  If the car makes it up to the top without flying off the road, send it my way.  I could use a nap on my hour long commutes.
